The story.1993 – Founding of Jotoliveira, Lda., the company that would later create World Shopper, launching the first structure dedicated to Mystery Shopping studies in the automotive sector.
2009 – Introduction of the World Shopper brand, aiming to better communicate the company's ambitions. This marked the creation of the R&D department, which drives all innovations introduced by the World Shopper brand. 2010 – Launch of the first edition of what, over more than a decade, has become one of the most renowned automotive events in Iberia, the World Shopper Conference. 2017 - The World Shopper Conference brought the first Level 5 autonomous vehicle to Portugal and conducted a demonstration in real-world conditions in Estoril. 2019 -The World Shopper Conference has grown significantly over the years. In 2019, held at Nova SBE Cascais, the event attracted 1,269 attendees from 13 countries, featuring 45 speakers, 16 workshops, and 36 exhibitors. In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference was held online for one month, reaching 4,665 participants from 56 countries. The digital edition showcased 128 speakers, 98 presentations, and 36 online exhibitors, reflecting the event’s global reach and adaptability in challenging times. 2020 – Launch of the "Viver Elétrico" (Living Electric) project, a comprehensive market education program on the energy transition. This initiative included electric vehicle training courses for professionals and customers, which, by 2024, had already trained over 4,500 people. Under the Viver Elétrico brand, World Shopper also launched a wide range of content production services, including brand activation initiatives and more. 2022 – We created the World Shopper Talk Show, a unique B2B event in Portugal designed specifically for C-level management, with a thematic focus on the automotive retail and distribution sector. The event features exclusive, in-depth interviews with key industry personalities, covering highly strategic topics. The WS Talk Show stands out for its innovative and creative approach, providing a platform for thought leadership and cutting-edge discussions. In the 2023 edition, we showcased an impressive live demonstration of Chat GPT-4 in a conversational mode, highlighting its transformative potential for the sector. 2025 – All these activities continue to thrive today, fully adapted to current market characteristics. For example, the 2025 edition of the Viver Elétrico program features new formats, new content, and updated manuals. After more than a year of studying prompt engineering in the field of Generative AI, World Shopper introduces a unique market innovation: a service for developing customized GPTs for companies in the automotive sector. The goal is to leverage over 35 years of experience in the industry, combined with expertise in prompt engineering, to create Personalized GPTs that automotive companies can use in their marketing, sales, after-sales, management, and development activities. |
